Hon. Michael A. Macdonald

Michael A. MacDonald is a Superior Court Judge for the Fourth Judicial District in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was appointed by Governor Sarah Palin on June 1, 2007, and has been retained in subsequent elections, most recently in 2016. He served as the presiding judge for the district in the 2013 calendar year. MacDonald earned a Bachelor of Arts in government from Harvard University in 1978 and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico in 1988. Prior to his judicial appointment, he practiced law with MacDonald & Levengood from 1985 until 2007. He is a member of the Alaska Bar Association, Tanana Valley Bar Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
