Hon. Michael P. McConahy

Michael P. McConahy is a Superior Court Judge for the Fourth Judicial District in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was appointed to the bench on July 9, 2009 by Governor Sarah Palin and was retained in the 2012 election, receiving 67.62% of the vote. McConahy earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh in 1973 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puget Sound in 1978. His legal career spans more than four decades, including roles as a municipal prosecutor for the City of Fairbanks, assistant district attorney, partner at Barrett & Burbank and McConahy, Zimmerman & Wallace, and associate at Aschenbrenner & Savell. He has served as a judge in the Fourth Judicial District since 2009.
