Hon. Paul A. Roetman

Paul A. Roetman is a judge serving on the Alaska Second District Superior Court, a position he has held since his appointment by Governor Sean Parnell in July 2010. He was retained by voters in 2014 and again in 2020, with his current term set to expire in 2026. Roetman earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Alaska and a Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia. Prior to his judicial appointment, he served in the Anchorage, Palmer, and Kotzebue district attorney offices, gaining extensive experience in criminal prosecution. He also worked as a private practice attorney, served as a legislative aide in the Alaska State Legislature, and was the executive director of the Prince William Sound Economic Development Council.
