Hon. Gary G. Cook

Gary G. Cook is a judge of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas General Division in Ohio. He has served on the bench since 2004 and is currently in his term ending in 2025. Cook earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in 1989 and his J.D. from the University of Toledo School of Law in 1992. Prior to his judgeship, he worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Lucas County from 1993 to 2004 and as a public defender in the Toledo Municipal Court from 1992 to 1993. He has been elected to the court in 2018 and previously ran for the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals in 2016. His judicial performance has been highly rated by the Toledo Bar Association, with 42.4% of respondents giving a "Highly Recommended" rating.
