About
Thomas E. Mountjoy is a Missouri judge who has served as the presiding judge of the 31st Circuit Court, Division 4, since his appointment in 1996. He earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice administration from Central Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) in 1974, graduating magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 1977. Prior to his judicial service, Mountjoy worked as the prosecuting attorney for Greene County from 1983 to 1996. He has been retained by voters in 2000, 2006, and 2012, receiving 80.4% of the vote in the 2012 retention election. His term on the bench is set to expire in 2018.
