<p>Roldan received his undergraduate degree from Central Missouri State University in 1979 and his <a href="/J.D." class="mw-redirect" title="J.D.">J.D.</a> from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 1983.<sup id="cite_ref-blue_2-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-blue-2">[2]</a></sup>
</p>
<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Career">Career</span></h2>
<p>Prior to becoming a judge for the <a href="/Missouri_16th_Judicial_Circuit_Court" title="Missouri 16th Judicial Circuit Court">16th Circuit Court</a>, Roldan served as the first Drug Court Commissioner for the <a href="/Jackson_County,_Missouri_(Judicial)" title="Jackson County, Missouri (Judicial)">Jackson County</a> Circuit Court from 1996 to 1999. Before serving as commissioner, Roldan practiced law with the firm <i>deVries and Associates</i>, worked for the <a href="/Jackson_County,_Missouri_(Judicial)" title="Jackson County, Missouri (Judicial)">Jackson County</a> Public Defender's office, served in the United States Marine Corps, and served as a police officer with the city of Overland Park, <a href="/Kansas" title="Kansas">Kansas</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_3-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-3">[3]</a></sup>
