Judge Timothy R. Walmsley was appointed to the Superior Court of the Eastern Judicial Circuit in February 2012 by Governor Nathan Deal. He presided over the high-profile Ahmaud Arbery murder trial in 2021, resulting in the conviction of all three defendants. Before his judicial appointment, he worked as a magistrate and partner at Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn, P.C., specializing in commercial and real estate litigation.
