<p><b>Harry Smail Jr.</b> is a judge of the Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. </p><p>Smail (<a href="https://ballotpedia.org/Republican_Party">Republican Party</a>) ran for election for judge of the <a href="https://ballotpedia.org/Pennsylvania_Superior_Court">Pennsylvania Superior Court</a>. He lost in the general election on <a href="https://ballotpedia.org/Pennsylvania_intermediate_appellate_court_elections,_2023">November 7, 2023</a>. </p><p>Smail also ran for election for judge of the <a href="https://ballotpedia.org/Pennsylvania_Commonwealth_Court">Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court</a>. He did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on <a href="https://ballotpedia.org/Pennsylvania_intermediate_appellate_court_elections,_2023">May 16, 2023</a>. </p>
<p>Smail was appointed by Governor <a href="/Tom_Corbett" title="Tom Corbett">Tom Corbett</a> on June 20, 2014, for a term expiring in 2015.<sup id="cite_ref-appoint_1-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-appoint-1">[1]</a></sup> Smail ran for a full 10-year term on the court and was elected on November 3, 2015.<sup id="cite_ref-election2015_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-election2015-2">[2]</a></sup>
