Hon. Sheryl B. Jolly

Judge Sheryl B. Jolly is a distinguished jurist with a career spanning over three decades. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Augusta Judicial Circuit from 1986 to 1989. She then served as an Assistant Solicitor General and later as Chief Assistant Solicitor General in the State Court of Richmond County from 1989 to 1996. Judge Jolly was elected Solicitor General of Richmond County, serving two terms from 1996 to 2004. In 2004, she was elected as a Superior Court Judge for the Augusta Judicial Circuit, becoming the first woman to hold this position. In 2021, she transitioned to the Columbia Judicial Circuit. Notably, Judge Jolly was designated to hear a case at the Georgia Supreme Court in 2018.
