Dan Moore is the judge of the 173rd District Court in Texas.[1] He was originally appointed to the court by Governor Rick Perry in June 2005.[2] He was re-elected after running unopposed on November 4, 2014, for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Education
Moore received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.[2]

Career
When Moore was appointed to the bench, he was an attorney in private practice. He also served as a municipal judge for Gun Barrel City, Texas, and as city attorney for Athens, Texas.[2]
