Hon. Ben J. Miller

Ben Miller Jr. is a Superior Court Judge for the Griffin Judicial Circuit in Georgia. Appointed by Governor Brian Kemp in May 2020, he previously served as Chief Judge of Juvenile Court for Fayette County and the Griffin Judicial Circuit, and has held positions as attorney, solicitor, juvenile court judge pro tempore, municipal court judge, associate juvenile court judge, and presiding judge of juvenile court. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Georgia and a law degree from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. Miller is actively involved in community organizations and boards, including the Sixth Judicial District Alternative Dispute Resolution Board of Directors, Spalding County Collaborative Board of Directors, Thomaston Upson Arts Council, Upson Historical Society, Thomaston First United Methodist Church, and the Thomaston-Upson Community Foundation. His appointment reflects his credentials and temperament for the judiciary.
