About
Steve C. Shuff is a seasoned jurist and former attorney who has served the people of Seneca County, Ohio for over two decades. A graduate of Heidelberg University with a B.A. in History (1975) and Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D., 1978), Shuff was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1978. He began his legal career as an associate attorney at Thomas R. Spellerberg Law Office, then served as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and later Prosecuting Attorney for Seneca County. In 1991 he founded Shuff Law Offices, and from 1984 to 1991 he was a partner at Shuff & Kutscher Law Offices. In 1999 he was appointed to the Seneca County Court of Common Pleas, where he presided over the General and Domestic Relations Divisions until 2017, being re-elected in 2016. Throughout his career, Shuff has been an active member of the Seneca County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association, Ohio Jury Management Association, American Judges Association, and has received the 2011 Award of Excellence. His practice areas have included general jurisdiction, domestic relations, and prosecution.
