Hon. Ronald L. Styn

Ronald L. Styn is a judge of the Superior Court of San Diego County, California, serving since 2000. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Redlands and a J.D. from Stanford University. Prior to his judgeship, Styn practiced law at Styn & Garland and Marinos, Styn & Studebaker, and served as an attorney for the California Department of Health. He also held academic positions as an adjunct professor at California Western School of Law and as an associate professor at the University of Kentucky College of Law. Styn has been recognized as a Master of the American Inns of Court, served on the San Diego Judges Association Board of Directors, and was president of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He was elected to the Superior Court in 2000 and re-elected in 2014 and 2020, with his current term ending January 4, 2027.
