Hon. Randolph G. Rich

Judge Randolph G. Rich is a native of Gwinnett County, born and raised in Snellville. He graduated from South Gwinnett High School and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. He was first elected to the Gwinnett State Court in 2004 and later appointed to the Superior Court by Governor Nathan Deal in May 2014. He was reelected in 2016. Judge Rich is known for his legal innovations, including launching the Gwinnett County Business Court and implementing a video conferencing system with the jail. He has also served as an Accountability Court Judge and has taught CLEs on professionalism, ethics, and evidence.<br/><br/>Judge Randy Rich is a renowned expert in litigation and evidence, having presided over 300 jury trials, including the Georgia Opioid Litigation. He founded the Gwinnett Business Court and served as a Business Court Judge in the Metro Atlanta Business Court.
