Melvin "Rex" Emerson is the judge for 198th District Court in Texas. He was appointed to that position by Republican Governor Rick Perry in October of 2009 to fill the remainder of Karl Prohl's term.[1] He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2]
