Biography
Woerner earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, going on to receive his J.D. from Vanderbilt University. He was admitted to the bar in 1979.[1] Before his election to the court, Woerner was an attorney with the Mark H. Woerner Law Office.[2]

Judge Mark H. Woerner was first elected to the bench in 2014 and reelected in 2018 without opposition. He is a 1979 graduate of Vanderbilt Law School received his B.A. from the State University of NY at Stony Brook in 1975. Judge Woerner served on active duty in the United States Navy as a Judge Advocate until 1985.. He continued to serve in the Naval Reserve and was recalled to Active Duty for 6 months in 1991 during Operation Desert Storm. Judge Woerner retired from the Naval Reserve in 2001, holding the rank of Commander. Prior to his election Judge Woerner was in private practice, and has been Board Certified in Criminal Law since 1989.
