<p><b>Barbara Irolla Panepinto</b> is an acting justice of the <a href="/Richmond_County_Supreme_Court,_New_York" class="mw-redirect" title="Richmond County Supreme Court, New York">Richmond County Supreme Court</a> in the <a href="/New_York_Supreme_Court_13th_Judicial_District" title="New York Supreme Court 13th Judicial District">13th Judicial District</a> of <a href="/New_York" title="New York">New York</a>. She was appointed to this position in <a href="/C2000" class="mw-redirect" title="C2000">2000</a>. She has also served on the <a href="/New_York_City_Civil_Court" title="New York City Civil Court">New York City Civil Court</a> since <a href="/C1997" class="mw-redirect" title="C1997">1997</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_1-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-1">[1]</a></sup> Panepinto ran unopposed for re-election to the civil court in 2016.

<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Education">Education</span></h2>
<p>Panepinto attended St. Joseph's College in 1973 for her bachelor's degree in psychology and history. In 1975 she attended the City University of New York for post-graduate criminal justice studies and in 1976 she received her master's degree at the City University of New York, Richmond College. The next year she received her AAS in nursing at NYC Technical College (NYCCC). She earned a <a href="/J.D." class="mw-redirect" title="J.D.">J.D.</a> at Brooklyn School of Law in 1984.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_1-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-1">[1]</a></sup>
</p>
<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Career">Career</span></h2>
<p>From 1974 to 1977, Panepinto worked for the New York City Family Court, Bureau Mental Health Services and as a mental health worker court liaison. From 1977 to 1983, she worked for the NYC Department of Probation, Family Court Division and as a Probation Officer. From 1984 to 1986, Panepinto was in the service of the NYC Office of the Corporation Counsel, Family Court Division and the assistant corporation counsel. In 1986 she was a judge for the NYS Unified Court System Family Court and a court attorney until 1990.<sup id="cite_ref-bio_1-2" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-bio-1">[1]</a></sup>
