About
Jason D. Marbutt is a judge for the Cobb County Superior Court in Georgia, having been elected to the bench in August 2020. Before his judicial career, he served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney at the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office, where he specialized in white collar crime, public integrity, and elder abuse. He holds a JD from Emory University School of Law (2004) and a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania (1998). Dr. Marbutt has lectured nationally on topics related to his expertise and has been recognized for his work in protecting vulnerable populations. He founded the Justice for Elderly and Disabled Individuals Multidisciplinary Team and chaired the Cobb Elder Abuse Task Force, while also being honored by the Georgia House and Senate in 2017 and named the 2018 Cobb Assistant District Attorney of the Year.
