Hon. Dan Shaban

Dan Shaban is a judge on the Danbury District Superior Court in Connecticut, appointed in 2004 by Governor Mary Jodi Rell and reappointed in 2012 and 2020. He serves on the Complex Litigation Docket and has a long record of legal service, including roles as an arbitrator and special master for the Waterbury Judicial District, attorney in private practice, and attorney for the Office of the Corporation Counsel for the City of Waterbury. Prior to his judicial career, he worked as an associate at the Law Office of Wilson J. Trombley. Shaban earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and a J.D. from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1982. He has been recognized by the Connecticut State Bar, serving on its Board of Governors, and has held leadership positions in the Waterbury Young Lawyers Association and the Waterbury Bar Association.
