Hon. Eric A. Aarseth

Eric A. Aarseth is a Superior Court Judge for the Third Judicial District in Anchorage, Alaska. Born on November 25, 1962, in Minnesota, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology in 1987 and a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 1990. After serving as a U.S. Army JAG Corps officer in 1991, he worked as a prosecutor for the State of Alaska Department of Law for eight years, followed by three years in the Torts Section of the Department’s Civil Division. In November 2005, Governor Frank Murkowski appointed him to the Anchorage Superior Court, where he has been retained in subsequent elections in 2010 and 2016.
