Hon. Philip T. Raymond

Philip T. Raymond, III, born in Columbus, Georgia in 1953, is a Superior Court Judge serving the Macon Judicial Circuit, covering Macon-Bibb, Crawford, and Peach Counties. Appointed by Governor Nathan Deal in 2012 and re-elected in 2014, he has presided over a wide range of cases with a focus on fairness and community service. Prior to his judicial appointment, Raymond built a successful private law practice from 1979 to 2012, specializing in Family Law. A graduate of the University of Georgia (B.A., 1976) and Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law (J.D., 1979), he is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Macon Bar Association, and holds the title of Master Emeritus of the William A. Bootle Inn of Court. Married with three children, Raymond balances a demanding legal career with a strong family orientation.
