Hon. David E. Finger

David E. Finger serves as a judge on the Lea County Magistrate Court, Division 4, in New Mexico. He was appointed to the position by Governor Susana Martinez in early March 2011, succeeding Dwight L. Crenshaw, and has been re-elected twice, most recently in 2014 for a term expiring December 31, 2018. Prior to his judicial appointment, Finger worked as an assistant district attorney for the Fifth Judicial District, where he gained experience in criminal prosecution. A graduate of the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, Finger has built a career focused on local judicial service and public defense within New Mexico.
