Henry Leonidas Stevens Jr. was a Superior Court judge from 1939 to 1962 and an emergency judge from 1963 until his death. He was a decorated veteran of World War I and served as National Commander of the American Legion from 1931 to 1932. Stevens practiced law in Kenansville after completing his studies at Harvard Law School.
