Hon. Michael L. Robinson

Judge Michael L. Robinson was sworn in as a Special Superior Court Judge for Complex Business Cases on July 1, 2016. He was confirmed for a second term starting July 1, 2021, and became Chief Business Court Judge effective January 1, 2025. Prior to his judicial career, he practiced law for 35 years, focusing on complex business litigation. He served as a North Carolina State Bar Councilor from 2009 to 2018 and is a member of the American College of Business Court Judges and the American Law Institute.
