Hon. Lindsay H. Burton

Judge Lindsay H. Burton, a distinguished member of the Northeastern Judicial Circuit, was sworn in as a Superior Court Judge on December 30, 2022. Prior to her current role, she served as a Juvenile Court Judge from 2013 to 2022 and was appointed Chief Juvenile Court Judge in January 2015. Before joining the bench, Judge Burton spent thirteen years as the Chief Assistant District Attorney in the District Attorney’s Office, where she handled numerous challenging cases involving juvenile victims of abuse and tried over one hundred jury trials. She earned her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University Law School. Judge Burton is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Justice for Children committee and the Executive Committee for the Council of Juvenile Court Judges. Her practice areas include juvenile law and criminal law.
