Hon. S. Meyer

Steven P. Meyer is a judge of the Tippecanoe County Superior Court in Indiana, having been elected on November 4, 2014 for a term expiring December 31, 2020. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from St. Joseph’s College in 1981, graduating as valedictorian, and received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in 1984. Prior to his judicial appointment, Meyer practiced law in the Lafayette area for thirty years, serving as a shareholder and managing partner at Ball Eggleston, PC, and worked as a public defender in Tippecanoe County for fourteen years. His public service record includes serving as a city councilman and president of the Lafayette City Council, as well as volunteer roles as a judge in Teen Court, and participation in numerous community organizations such as the March of Dimes, United Way, Knights of Columbus, and the Downtown Development Council.
