Hon. Monte L. Brown

Monte L. Brown is a judge on the Superior Court of DeKalb County in Indiana, having been appointed to the court in 2005 by former Governor Mitch Daniels. He was the first judge to serve in a newly created seat and was re-elected unopposed in 2012. Prior to his judicial appointment, Brown served as the DeKalb County prosecutor for seventeen years, where he gained extensive experience in criminal law and courtroom proceedings. Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan University and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.
