Hon. Tracey A. Bannister

Tracey A. Bannister is a judge serving on the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, 4th Department, since November 1, 2019, and on the New York Supreme Court, 8th Judicial District, since January 1, 2009. She earned her B.A. from Rutgers University in 1981 and her J.D. from DePaul University / UB Law in 1984. Bannister began her legal career as a trial attorney in 1984, served as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Jerome Gorski in 1989, and worked under that judge in the Supreme Court and Appellate Division until 2008. She also served as an acting village justice on the Kenmore Village Court in 2006. Bannister was elected to the Supreme Court in 2008 and has served as a judge in both the 8th Judicial District and the 4th Department of the Appellate Division. She is licensed to practice law in New York.
