Hon. James D. Worton

James Worton is a judge of the Superior Court of Bartholomew County, Indiana, elected in November 2012 with a term expiring in 2018. He holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a J.D. from Indiana University's McKinney School of Law. Prior to his judicial appointment, Worton worked as an attorney in private practice, served as a Columbus Police Detective, and was the Columbus City Police Chief. In the 2012 primary election, he defeated incumbent Chris D. Monroe and subsequently won the general election against Joe Meek with 64.3% of the vote.
