- Filed Order Denying Stay. Currently before the court is appellant's emergency motion for stay and emergency motion to clarify and reinstate briefing schedule. The emergency motion for stay was filed on February 14, 2026. After respondent's response was stricken for deficiencies, a corrected response was timely filed on February 25, 2026. Appellant's reply was filed that same day, but both the response and the reply were rejected on the basis that the motion to which they pertained was stricken. As appellant's motion to clarify points out, the basis for rejection was mistaken, and the documents should not have been rejected. Accordingly, appellant's motion to clarify is granted to the following extent. The clerk of this court shall retrieve the February 25 response and reply and file them on the docket. Regarding the stay motion, having reviewed the parties' arguments, we agree with respondent that appellant has failed to comply with NRAP 8(a)(2)(A)(ii) by demonstrating that "the district court denied [a stay] motion or failed to afford the relief requested." Based on this signed agreement, reflected in a written November 12, 2025, order, the district court vacated the scheduled hearing on the stay motion. Thus, the district court did not consider and deny a stay. As appellant has not complied with NRAP 8(a) but rather agreed that her license revocation would not be stayed, we deny appellant's stay motion. Any relief from the stipulation must be sought in the district court in the first instance. A26-KP/RP/LB (SC)
