AICasePredict surfaces patterns from public court records. We don’t predict outcomes and we don’t recommend changing your attorney — that’s a conversation for you and them. We just show you what the record already says.

- Hearing Held On January 27, 2022, the Petitioner appears in person without counsel. Respondent appears in person without counsel. Trial by Court. The Court finds the Petitioner and Respondent were residents of this State for more than 90 days prior to filing and 30 days have passed since the filing of this action. The Court finds there remains no reasonable likelihood the marriage can be preserved and the marriage is irretrievably broken. The wife is not now pregnant. The marriage is ordered dissolved. The Court finds no children were born of the marriage. Record left open as to the division of marital and non-marital property and marital indebtedness specifically the filing of tax returns for tax year 2021 and whether that should be separate or joint and how the tax refund should be divided. On January 28, 2022, the parties appeared without counsel and advised they received tax advice and filed a joint Federal tax return yesterday and expect to receive a $6,100.00 tax refund to be divided $4,100.00 to Respondent and $2,000.00 to Petitioner, which is so ordered and the parties ordered to do and sign whatever is prudent and necessary to effectuate this division upon receipt of the refund. With this agreement, announced on the record, the Court now finds that all property and debt has been disposed of by agreement, there is no other property or debt to divide and the parties' settlement agreement is fair not unconscionable. Maintenance is waived and none granted. Petitioner restored to maiden of Christine Dayle Edwards. Jerry L. Holcomb, Judge
