- Judge's Docket Entry On July 21, 2023, the Court conducted a status conference hearing to deal with multiple issues. Court determined that we do not know how much money should be authorized now to provide the current necessities of this one of three children, and how much current spending will leave too little money for the children when they reach the age of 18. There are no social security survivor benefits for the children, and there will not be any in the future. There is currently a very significant amount of income for music royalties, and it is expected that we will continue to receive substantial music royalties for the next year or so, but we do not know how much longer we will receive additional income, and how much that income will be. Court determined and instructed that $3,500.00 per month will be provided to the mother of each child for the next six-to-nine months, and that matters will be reviewed again at that time. Court anticipated authorizing grandmother of children to distribute some of the jewelry that belonged to Melvin Noble to his children (her grandchildren) as the grandchildren attained the age of sixteen, if the mothers of each of the children could agree on a division of the jewelry. Court later found out that the intention of the grandmother was to deliver jewelry worth a great deal more money than was realized at the initial discussion of this issues (perhaps as much as $100,000.00). Court intended to authorize distribution of jewelry having a value of no more than $2,500.00 per child. Additional compensation to Nicole Noble was discussed. The parties did not agree that compensation should be authorized. Court declared that issue of compensation would be dealt with if Nicole Noble filed a motion and scheduled a hearing. Court would likely approve agreed compensation if Executor and all heirs (through their parent) agreed and approved. Judge Weldon Copeland

- Judge's Docket Entry A hearing was conducted to determine the current financial needs of the children, with additional consideration of the future financial needs at they become adults. Additional time is necessary for the parties to gather information and to prepare to give input on these issues. A hearing for that purpose was scheduled for July 10, 2024. Additionally, the parties were informed that the first paragraph on page 3 of the Order Directing Monthly Distributions is to be modified to provide that the Trustee may make additional discretionary distributions over and above the minimum distribution of $3,500.00 per month, as the Trustee may determine to be appropriate.
