Emily C. Templeton

Emily Templeton is a lawyer for the underdog and a recipient of the Multnomah Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Rookie of the Year Award. Her practice concentrates on the representation of individuals harmed by sexual harassment, sexual assault, and discrimination. You can find additional information about Emily’s support and advocacy work here.Emily currently serves on the Multnomah Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Continuing Legal Education Committee, the Oregon State Bar’s Consumer Law Section Executive Committee, and in 2023, she was appointed to the Oregon House of Delegates for Multnomah County.Emily is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Academy, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the American Association of Justice Civil Rights Section and LGBT Caucus, and she is licensed to practice in Oregon State, Federal, and Bankruptcy Court.Outside of civil rights, Emily runs the firm’s Pro Bono Tenant Rights Legal Clinic where she helps low-income, disabled, and elderly tenants who could not otherwise afford to hire an attorney.While working full-time, Emily was amongst the 33% of applicants who passed the February 2024 California bar exam. She was sworn in as a licensed California attorney on May 23, 2024. Emily plans to head Underdog’s San Diego office opening early 2025.
