Hector L. Rodriguez

From the moment he started his legal career, Hector knew he wanted to work in the area of labor and employment law. He has now spent the last decade dedicated to helping individuals and companies navigate the complex federal and California statutes that govern the employer-employee relationship. Hector is a fierce advocate who uses his class action experience to obtain wage and hour recoveries in the millions for his clients. He is not afraid to fight for those with the most need and regularly represents agricultural, manufacturing, contruction, and other hourly workers who are subject to employers unlawful wage theft policies. As a partner at Macias Rodriguez Adams LLP, he represents employees and employers in numerous employment-related issues from inception through trial, including: Wage and Hour Class and Representative Actions Misclassification of exempt employees and independent contractors Discrimination and Harassment Whistleblowing and Retaliation Disability Accommodation Wrongful Termination Leaves of Absence Prior to the founding of Macias Rodriguez Adams LLP, Hector was an attorney at the nations largest labor and employment law firm, where he represented employers of all sizes, from multinational corporations to family-owned small businesses, in all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Hector has also represented individuals throughout Santa Clara County in employment law actions, including having served as counsel in multiple trials. During his legal studies at Santa Clara University School of Law, Hector interned for the U. S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and at the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Although Hector was born in Central America, he has been raised in the City of San Jose for most of his life. He is a proud graduate of Bellarmine College Preparatory and has deep connections with the Jesuit Community in Santa Clara County.
