Shannon L. Richard

Ms. Richards practice focuses on civil defense matters for both private and public entities. Before joining Patterson Buchanan, Ms. Richards represented police and fire unions in contract negotiations, discipline procedures, and other litigation. She also practiced criminal defense as a public defender in Snohomish County for three years. She has argued dozens of appeals and has successfully litigated numerous jury trials in Washington state courts. During law school, Ms. Richards externed with the Montgomery County Public Defenders Office, the Department of the Interiors Office of Civil Rights, the Medical-Legal Community Partnership, and with the Honorable Judge Sierra Thomas Street in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
