About

During law school, she externed at the Marion County Circuit Court for a summer and clerked at a local Salem firm for two and half years focusing on post-conviction relief. She was a legal intern for the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic at Willamette, which allowed her to work with low-income individuals providing pro bono services for dissolutions and adoptions. She gained valuable experience in drafting pleadings and motions and in client communication. Alexis was also actively involved in organizations involving minorities, and is the former President of the National Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Alexis is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Marion County. Alexis’ motivation to become a CASA stems from her belief that no one should have to endure physical or emotional abuse. She believes that all members of a family should live in a loving and stable environment. These beliefs transfer to her passion to ensure that everyone has access to the legal system to make sure they are safe and their children are safe. She strongly believes that everyone deserves to have a voice and is committed to making that happen. When she is not working, she enjoys Crossfit and teaching Crossfit classes, and spending time with her dog, Java.
