Kovas Charles Allen

Charles A. Kovas has practiced civil litigation specializing in commercial and residential landlord law since 2010. Formerly a partner at the Portland law firm of Warren Allen LLP, he opened The Law Firm of Charles A. Kovas, LLC in April 2019. Admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington state and federal courts, Mr. Kovas represents landlords in FED trials, stay hearings, post-foreclosure disputes, and all other facets of landlord-tenant law. Mr. Kovas also practices in family law, real property disputes, business planning, litigation, estate planning and serves as general counsel for a number of small businesses. He has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2014 through 2019 and is a frequent lecturer to property managers, owners and real estate agents throughout the state. He is a Board Member for the Rental Housing Alliance of Greater Portland. Before law school he started his career in Washington DC working for the U. S. Senate Committee on Government Affairs, and in development with The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. His personal interests include skiing, gardening, live music, and studying pre-Columbian and American history.
