David A. Carter

David was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. In 1980, he graduated summa cum laude from West Texas State University where he played college tennis for four years. He attended the University of Kentucky College of Law where he received his law degree in 1983. After graduating from law school, David moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he began working for a large law firm where he represented numerous national insurance companies defending personal injury cases. David was selected by his firm to attend the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy in Boulder, Colorado, where he learned key insights and strategies in defending law suits. In 1997, with his inside knowledge of how insurance companies and their lawyers operate to minimize and defend personal injury cases, David left the insurance defense practice and began representing people all across the state of Tennessee who had been injured by the negligence of others. David brings over 30 years of experience in handling personal injury cases to the Roth Firm. He is licensed to practice law in both Kentucky and Tennessee. When he is not settling cases, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Joy, watching movies, cycling and playing with their Jack Russell Terrier, Abby.
