Matthew Lindgren

Matthew C. Lindgren has 10 years of experience defending a wide range of civil litigation, first and third-party no-fault, premises liability, commercial and business law, and construction matters. He has a strong history of advising his clients as to complex legal issues including rescission, claims coverage, subrogation rights, insurance order of priority, Medicare/Medicaid, insurance claim set offs and provider rights. Mr. Lindgrens commercial and business law practice encompasses probate, contracts, business and real property law. Mr. Lindgren is an experienced trial attorney who has served as trial counsel in third party auto, dog bite and probate cases delivering results to clients. Recently Mr. Lindgren received two unanimous no injury verdicts for his client from a Wayne County jury where Plaintiffs uninsured motorist claims were brought against a $500,000.00 policy after rejecting a substantial case evaluation award. Mr. Lindgren joined Secrest Wardles Troy office in 2019 and is a member of the Firms Commercial and Business Law, Construction, Environmental and Toxic Tort, Insurance Coverage, Intellectual Property/Advertising Injury, Motor Vehicle Litigation, Premises Liability, Product Liability, and Trucking/Commercial Vehicle Litigation Practice Groups. He earned his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School where he received a Faculty Award as the top student in Torts. Mr. Lindgren obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Finlandia University graduating magna cum laude while playing two NCAA mens varsity sports. While at Finlandia University Mr. Lindgren earned an all-academic award for the highest GPA among NCAA student athletes. While a member of the state bar, Mr. Lindgren graduated from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy program and has been awarded Best Lawyers Ones to Watch consecutively since 2022. Mr. Lindgren is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and the United States Eastern District of Michigan.
