Ethan Moon-Sik Kim

My name is Ethan Kim and I am truly honored that you are taking time to read about me. I became fascinated with the law at a young age when my family came to the United States in hopes of a better life. Our country is one of the few that truly believes everyone is entitled to fair treatment under the law. Growing up, I came to idolize lawyers as those who fight for their clients and uphold that idea. This interest led me to attend law school at Florida State University. After graduating, I started my career as a public defender in a small town in Hernando County and fought for wrongly-accused people. I stood as the last line of defense for people who had no means to defend themselves and obtained acquittals for them. I will never forget the first time I obtained a not guilty verdict for a client - who turned to me and cried to thank me. In a twist of fate, my interest in civil law then led me to spend over ten years defending large insurance carriers and several Fortune 500 Companies. I handled thousands of cases from simple motor vehicle accidents to wrongful death cases. I also acquired a specialty defending large trucking companies from claims involving catastrophic, life-changing injuries. I tried cases on their behalf and learned how to win when the stakes were at their highest. It is a privilege to now use those skills to help those injured by the fault of others and to defend the idea that everyone is entitled to fair treatment. Because I know it is a privilege in every case, big or small, my clients receive aggressive representation, and insurance companies know they have a fight on their hands.
