Austin B. Johns

Attorney Berescik-Johns is actively involved in the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA). He currently serves on the Unauthorized Practice of Law, Appellate Advocacy, and Cyber Security and Technology Committees. He recently completed serving on the State of the Legal Profession Task Force, Technology Subcommittee, which began in 2019, and previously served on the Executive Committee of the CBA’s Young Lawyer Section from 2012 to 2020. In addition, he previously served on the Board of Directors of the New England Bar Association, and represented his colleagues through the CBA House of Delegates, as well as the American Bar Association House of Delegates. Attorney Berescik-Johns is also a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the American Counsel Association. He has been peer-nominated and named as a Connecticut Rising Star and/or “Super Lawyer” by the independent information corporation Thompson Reuters every year from 2018 to 2023. Attorney Berescik-Johns obtained a J.D. from Quinnipiac University (Hamden, Connecticut), and a B.A. in philosophy from Trinity College (Hartford, Connecticut). He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
