Javier Gonzalez

Biography Javier Gonzalez represents businesses of all sizes in complex commercial and contract disputes. He has appeared for defendants and plaintiffs in general litigation and appellate cases involving breach of warranty, commercial brokerage agreements, landlord-tenant disputes, commercial and personal real estate leases, personal injury defense, first amendment claims, and manufacturing and co-packing agreements. Javier proudly serves the Hispanic community as the attorney lead of the firms Hispanic Lawyer Resource Group. He has represented multiple Mexican companies in domestic and international disputes, both in and out of court, and also acquired and collected on a multimillion-dollar judgment against a European company while representing a small family-owned Texas company. Prior to joining the Firm, Javier also handled a large docket of personal injury plaintiff litigation, equipping him to successfully represent defendants in his practice. He also previously served as a summer associate at Jackson Walker. While at the South Texas College of Law Houston, where he earned his J. D., summa cum laude, Javier served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and an officer on the Board of Advocates. He was extensively involved in the schools advocacy program and won the 134th National Moot Court Championship, an award for Best Overall Advocate in the State of Texas, as well as multiple regional and state wide championships and awards in Moot Court and Arbitration. As a result of his moot court success, Javier was chosen as a recipient of the State Bar of Texas: Award for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy, which is awarded annually to one graduating student from each Texas law school for demonstrated excellence in written and oral advocacy. Javier was inducted to the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Lytae, and received the Deans Outstanding Advocate Award.
