Brooks Associate 302.467.4414 (office) [email protected] Practice Areas: Corporate Bankruptcy and Restructuring, Bankruptcy Litigation, Corporate Litigation Joshuas experience includes representing debtors, official committees of unsecured creditors, and DIP lenders in proceedings initiated under chapter 7, chapter 11 (including subchapter V), and chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code. Prior to joining Landis Rath & Cobb LLP, he advised future claimants representatives in several mass tort bankruptcies, assisted with corporate and commercial litigation, and investigated potential claims against corporate officers and directors on behalf of special investigation committees. Joshua graduated from Widener University Delaware Law School where he participated in mock trial and alternative dispute resolution competitions, volunteered in pro bono will drafting initiatives for first responders and senior citizens, and was a member of the Black Law Students Association. He is an active alumnus, regularly returning to guide and mentor students and younger lawyers. Joshua remains committed to the advancement of the Delaware bar and his community through his contributions to community and professional organizations. He serves as Chair of the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section of the Delaware State Bar Association. Joshua is a member of the Delaware Bankruptcy Inn of Court, the Delaware Barristers Association, the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and Turnaround Management Association. Additionally, Joshua devotes extensive time as a volunteer Child Attorney with the Office of the Child Advocate. Joshua is admitted to practice in Delaware and Maryland.
