About
Before going to law school, Jim was a Chief Petty Officer serving on submarines in the United States Navy as a nuclear trained electrician. From there, he began a career in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff and then as an assistant fire marshal and arson investigator. His experience as a law enforcement officer and arson investigator gives him a unique understanding of the criminal investigation and prosecution process. Jim has appeared in Texas State and Federal courts on behalf of his clients. His trial experience includes all types of criminal cases including murder, felony assault and sex crimes; narcotics and related offenses; DWI and intoxication related offenses. He has also appeared in civil trial courts defending clients in fatal work and traffic related accidents. Jim’s experience also includes appeal matters where he has argued before Texas Courts of Appeal, and he is admitted to practice before the Untied State’s Supreme Court.
