McKenzie Coe

Associate McKenzie Coe is an Associate in Varghese Summersetts Family Law Division , where she provides skilled, compassionate representation to clients facing some of lifes most difficult circumstances, including divorce, child custody, and complex asset division. McKenzie is a fierce advocate for her clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected throughout every step of the legal process. She is particularly passionate about cases involving domestic violence and is committed to helping clients rebuild their lives and emerge stronger on the other side. Raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, McKenzie was the quintessential big sister to her two younger brothers and exceptionally motivated from a young age. At East Kentwood High School, she was not only a captain of the water polo team but also a competitive swimmer, singer, and theater performer. Her strong work ethic and determination set the stage for the academic path that followed. After high school, she traded the Michigan snow for the California sun, attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she earned degrees in Political Science and Women and Gender Studies. She later attended Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth, where she and her husband - her high school sweetheart - put down roots and started a family. During and after law school, McKenzie gained valuable experience in both the public and private sectors, where she honed her focus on family law. These roles reinforced her passion for advocating for families in crisis, especially those involving vulnerable populations. Her commitment to helping others is evident in her thoughtful, steadfast approach to every case she handles. In her free time, McKenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, their young daughter, and two rescue cats. She is also an avid reader and runner - recently completing her first half-marathon. Fun Fact: McKenzie is a devoted Adele fan, and the singer once gave her and her best friend a shoutout and put them on the big screen at a concert - a moment McKenzie still describes as one of the best days of her life.
