Sheena Thakrar

Overview Sheena is an experienced litigator practicing in Burr & Formans commercial litigation group. She focuses her practice on representing individual and corporate clients in a variety of complex civil litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes, construction disputes, lender liability disputes, creditors rights disputes, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, and products liability disputes. Sheenas experience also includes litigating cases involving non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and other restraints on trade. Sheena has briefed all of these issues as part of her appellate practice representing clients in numerous appeals in Florida state and federal courts. Sheena began her litigation career representing major cruise lines in maritime and class action lawsuits. In addition to her law practice, Sheena has also served as an adjunct professor of legal drafting at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Currently, Sheena serves as an adjunct professor at Barry Law School. Sheena is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice law in all Florida State Courts; the U. S. District Court, Southern District of Florida; the U. S. District Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; and the U. S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. Sheena received her J. D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2004, where she served as Senior Notes Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy in 2003. She also received her B.
