Janie Parks Varnell

Experience Ms. Varnell is admitted to practice in Eastern & Middle District of Tennessee, the Northern District of Georgia, and the Sixth and Eleventh Circuit court of Appeals. Her daily practice consists of criminal defense in Hamilton County General Sessions Court and Criminal Court, family law in Circuit and Chancery Court in Hamilton and Bradley County, criminal and civil cases in the District Court of the Eastern District and Middle District of Tennessee, and criminal and civil cases in State and Superior Courts in Georgia and in the Northern District of Georgia. Ms. Varnell also represents law enforcement officers through their union representatives including the Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Benevolent Association. Ms. Varnell represents individuals involved in divorce actions, child custody modifications, adoptions, orders of protection, and restraining orders. She is a graduate of the TACDL Trial College Class of 2016. Education Janie Parks Varnell, a Chattanooga native, holds a B. A. in Political Science and Criminal Justice, cum laude, from Auburn University. She received her J. D. from Atlantas John Marshall Law School in May 2012.
