About
Scott graduated from The University of Texas as Austin with a B. B. A. in Finance. He then attended and received his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law. After graduating and passing the State Bar exam, he opened his own private practice, focusing primarily on criminal defense cases. Over the next 14 years, Scott handles hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases. After running and owning a successful practice, Scott moved on to a position with the Bell County Attorneys Office, where he worked for nearly 3 years as a criminal prosecuting attorney. This new perspective provided invaluable insight into the nuts and bolts of the criminal justice system. Scott was also assigned to be the designated prosecutor to represent the office the Veterans Treatment Court program. That experience has proved valuable to his work with Dunham and Jones, since veterans issues and needs are very prevalent in the area. In many cases, he is able to navigate the somewhat complex procedures and resources to obtain results for clients that would not otherwise be on the table for defendants. With Dunham and Jones, Scott has been able to return to his passion, which is working hard to protect the rights that are core to our judicial system. In his free time, Scott likes to cook, play golf, hang out with his wife of over 15 years, and his 120 pound Neapolitan Mastiff named Priscilla.
