Carl primarily practices in business litigation with a focus on construction law. In addition to Texas trial and appellate courts, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. Construction Law Carl has extensive experience in construction law and litigation. A licensed attorney for more than ten years, Carl has represented property owners, tenants, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in various disputes. With a bachelors degree in civil engineering, Carl has a sound technical basis to understand and evaluate claims and defenses in the construction industry. Through the representation of his clients, Carl has obtained a strong understanding of the Texas complicated lien and bond statutes, as well as the Miller Act. His experience in litigation has also strengthened his ability to advise clients on contractual clauses, business processes, and risk management strategies. Alternative Dispute Resolution Carl has participated in dozens of mediations and arbitrations during his legal career, successfully representing clients in resolving cases prior to trial, preventing unnecessary costs related to litigation.
