Armando Melendez

Armando was raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and an International Security Studies minor. Armando then attended law school at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, graduating in 2020. During his time in law school, Armando competed with the OU Law Arbitration Team, where his team won regionals and competed at nationals two years in a row, ultimately placing third in the nation. While in school, Armando also received a certificate in Peacemaking from the Center for the Study of American Indian Law and Policy, as well as graduated from the OUHSC College of Medicine’s Interdisciplinary Training Program on Child Abuse and Neglect.Since being sworn in to the Oklahoma BAR in 2020, Armando’s practice has been focused on litigation. Armando worked as a family law attorney from 2020-2023. During his time in family law, Armando argued issues related to divorce, custody, child support and adoption. Armando has since taken his litigation skills to Dewberry & Hubbard, joining the team in early 2024. Armando’s focus is ensuring that all his clients feel like they understand the processes and know that someone has their back.During his free time, Armando enjoys performing improv and stand-up comedy at various venues across the city.
